Job Opportunity: Re:Hope Royston Church Administrator/Community Worker
Job Specification:
The purpose of the role is to provide administration duties for the ministry and to provide specific
community support.
Aim of the role (Administration):

To ensure procurement is efficient and cost effective.

To manage digital communication.

To supervise PVG Administration volunteer and clerical support volunteer.

To liaise with Re:Hope centralised functions including HR, Finance and governance
to ensure compliance with processes and procedures.

Sunday Service worship slides, videos, announcements and teaching PowerPoint
presentations to be loaded on church laptop by Friday/Saturday each week.
Aim of the role (Community):

Work with specific individuals and groups providing mentoring, advice and practical
support. (Includes existing projects, Addiction café, Foodbank, and Care Van or new
community projects)

Praying with people and showing loving kindness to those struggling. (Creating a
caseload of people who are supported in prayer)

Liaising with local agencies to “sign-post” and advocate for people seeking help.
(Organisations include Rosemount Development Trust, Housing Associations,
Council and national government agencies)

Lead a BRT/Alpha with local people.
Person Specification:
-
Experienced administration skills (minute taking, diary organisation, written
communication)

Competent computer skills (Social media platforms, Word, Powerpoint)

Well developed interpersonal skills (Good written and verbal ability. Must have
high levels of empathy and able to work in a chaotic environment.

A heart for sharing the gospel, praying for people, and serving the poor.

High levels of patience and a caring attitude.

Able to spend time with people “being there”.
Hours: 18 to 20 hours per week dependant on funding

Occupational Requirements:
Applicants for the post must be professing Christians* willing to uphold our Christian ethos, working principles and vision.
